Cyprian Piskurek studied English and Music at the University of Dortmund from where he graduated in 2006. After teaching at Hamilton College (NY), he returned to Dortmund where he took on a position as Fachkoordinator at the Department of English and American Studies. In 2015, he finished his dissertation on Fictional Representations of British Football and Its Fan Cultures After the Taylor Report. From 2012 to 2016, he served as Prodekan Studium und Lehre (Fakultät Kulturwissenschaften).
